We are happy to offer this – our testimonial about you - your care and skills – as a personal dog (and owner!) trainer extraordinaire.

We both had owned and trained dogs and felt perfectly capable of training our current Picard Shepard, We believed we had accomplished teaching him the basics, but despite our efforts, at two years of age he had obedience and socialization issues.

He could not be counted on to consistently obey directions, remain calm, and be polite. This situation was causing problems in our home as he tried to establish himself as the Alpha member of our family. A working breed, we knew that proper obedience training was essential for us and him both at home and in our travels together.

We bless the day we met you and began training sessions. Your expert, gentle and deliberate guidance transformed our dog and our life.

Training began at our home so Lisa could witness our behaviors. Corrections were made and we were amazed at how immediate the results were. Street training followed. Our dog was so different as soon as Lisa took his leash! We trained on walks through our neighborhood and in other areas to experience different locales, situations and people.

Dear Lisa:

I wanted to update you on the progress of Annie, our neurotic retriever.

When we adopted Annie and her brother from that Michigan animal shelter, we had no idea of how traumatic a life she must have had. You probably remember that I couldn't even take her for a walk in the neighborhood without dragging her most of the way. She had an aversion to other dogs and a shyness around strangers that presented a real problem for us, and for them. But thanks to your careful and thoughtful training sessions, she began to make progress. I am still amazed at how many "tricks" you pulled out of your bag to lessen Annie's discomfort and to convince her to view her world with less suspicion. Your dog Griffin played an important part too, and I hope that he got a few extra treats for his good work as a mentor! Anyway, thanks to your training, Annie is on the way to becoming an even better dog. We have even had visitors commenting on "what wonderful and polite dogs you have."

I have had six dogs in my adult life and about as many professional trainers and you are easily the best! Thanks again for all your advice and for what you have done for Annie; and not incidentally, for me. I am enclosing a picture of Annie and her brother relaxing after a long walk in the neighborhood.

Hi Lisa-

Just wanted to say thank you for teaching us how to be better dog "parents". You really did help us "connect" with our dogs. As a result, Boca and Comet are better behaved so we are enjoying them so much more, instead of being frustrated. Our evening walks have become such a nice part of our routine and have helped Comet get more exercise and get rid of some of that excess weight. We hardly ever have any more "accidents" in the house, and if we do, it's explainable (didn't let them out in time, etc.) We're practicing "sit-stay-come" daily and it's really cute to see them listen! I sound like a proud mom. Boca is still a mischievous little rug-rat and spends his time looking for things to get into. His newest discovery is the area rug, which is 10 times bigger than him, yet he manages to drag it across the house. Good times! So, thanks again. We will recommend you to all our dog owner friends.

Lisa, Thank you again for training Rhett this summer while we were there on vacation! He is still doing well with training and heels even without a leash. I hadn't forgotten that you wanted a picture, but our computer crashed and we are only now back up and running. Let me know if the picture came through okay and/or if you want more. Thank you again. If we are ever in the area with Rhett, we'll certainly be calling you!
